There are some things that should be established in the hearts of Jesus followers. One truth that should really be the foundation of our belief system is that God is Good. What if we started from that place? What if our basic understanding of the gospel began with that bit of knowledge?
Psalm 145:9 – "The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over everything He has made."
What if we decreed that in our lives? Actually solidified it as law or standard. If we use that as the baseline, as the foundation, then anything that the enemy tries to speak will not stand, because his purpose is to try and get us to question that very thing. Is God good? Is His word good?
When we decree something, we’re actually taking that thing and setting it as rule in our lives. We are establishing that it is something we will abide to. I wonder what would change if we did that with the truth about God’s goodness. I think we as believers, as the church, should be willing to set that standard in our hearts and minds and families. Let’s do it. Let’s make it so. Let’s corporately, as the body of Christ, stand up right now and decree, "The Lord is good to all. His mercy is over everything." There, now go! Live life to the full. LOVE God and LOVE your neighbor as yourself. That’s all.
We will be serving and partnering with other churches at these events this summer:
