1 Farmer’s Market

The Farmer’s Market will run from 7 a.m. to noon today and will be located along Front Street between 3rd Avenue and 2nd Avenue in downtown Dodge City every Saturday from June through October.

2 Custard and Cars Shine and Show

Stop by Freddy’s any time between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to check out classic cars, bikes and jeeps while also supporting the Ford Dodge Soldier’s Home.

“People can bring their cars in at free-will, they don’t have to stay the entire time, they can just kind of cruise in and out from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m,” said president of the Dodge City Classic Cars group, Cherlyn Mead. “Those that come in to see the cars and eat, 15 percent of the proceeds that Freddy’s receives during that time will actually go toward and benefit the Ford Dodge Soldiers Home.”

3 Sixth Annual Do the Wright Thing

To support local people in their battle against cancer, come out to the Cimarron Crossing Park today or Sunday for the 6th Annual Do the Wright Thing benefit co-ed softball tournament, sponsored by Osborn Liquor/Osborn Electric and Premier PDR & Repair.

There will be a free will donation BBQ dinner starting at 5 p.m., followed up with a prayer ceremony at 7. At 9 p.m., a home run derby will take place, where the top boy and girl hitters will receive a brand new bat. Additionally, there will be shirts, koozies and raffle tickets for sale.

The beneficiaries of this tournament are Scot Addison, Ada Briggs, Richard Deimund, Beverly Jacobson, Megan Kramer, Melissa McDowell and John Osborn. This tournament is being held in honor of Kim Fairbank, Tracy Hilker, Lawrence Jonagan, Steve & Helen Kerr, Donna Legg and Shirley Voran.

4 Bucklin Biker’s Breakfast

Starting at 8 a.m., the American Legion in Bucklin will be hosting the Bucklin Biker’s Breakfast Buffet on Sunday.

Tickets for the breakfast are $8 for adults and $4 for ages 12 and under.
