1 Gauntlet

The first ever Dodge City Days Gauntlet Challenge will be at Western State Bank Expo Center starting at 9 a.m.

Featured obstacles are the "net scrambler," "Cliffhanger" and the "Continental Divide over a 2-mile course.

Registration is at 9 a.m. with the first participants starting the challenge at 9:30 a.m.

Day of the event registration is $40 with a special kiddie course that will run all day that is $20 per kid.

2 Bites and Brew

The first Bites and Brews food and beer festival will be at the United Wireless Arena from 2 to 6 p.m.

The vendors the fest are United Wireless Arena, Boot Hill Casino, Prime On The Nine, Jack's Ice Cream, Laura's Mexican Food, Thai Restaurant, Billy Sims BBQ, Green Bean Coffee Co. and Noi's Eggrolls.

Live music by the Dodge City Band will be playing with games such as trash can shuffle board, life-size Jenga and the corn hole game for everyone to play.

Tickets to get into the festival are $10 for adults with food and drink tickets $1 per ticket to purchase for food and drinks.

Children tickets are $5 for ages 2-12 and 2 and under free.

Also, those with lapel pins will have a chance to enter to win a staycation prize package.

3 Matt Dillon revealed

The life-size bronze statue of Matt Dillon will be unveiled at 3 p.m. in downtown Dodge City with a public dedication featuring Mrs. James Arness and sculptor Tony Cipriano.

A banquet will be held with more information on how to purchase tickets for the banquet at dodgecitytrailoffame.org or facebook.com/MattDillonStatue.

Dillon joins the statues of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday in the downtown Dodge City area.

4 Movie in the Park

The Movies in the Park returns to Eisenhower Park, corner of 1st Avenue and Gunsmoke Street, at 9 p.m. tonight.

The movie will be Maverick and is free to attend.

Small concessions will be available with refreshments and popcorn. Bring a lawn chair.

Monday

1 Art Show

The 25th annual Landmark Art Show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Landmark National Bank located at 100 W. Spruce St.

This year's art show will feature work from photographer Colleen Sternberger.

Sternberger is a self-taught artist that specializes in photos of the American West and has won several awards and is in private and corporate collections.

2 Christian Concert

The 19th annual Southern Gospel Christian Concert will be at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady Guadalupe featuring the Armouraires Quartet.

Admission is a lapel pin with free will donations to Manor of the Plains and Charitable Care Fund.

3 Teen Dance

From 8 to 11:30 p.m. at the Long Branch Lagoon will be the Dodge City Days Teen Dance.

Music will be provided Z-98 and La Ke Buena.

Ages for the dance are from 12-18 years old.

Admission is $5 and a lapel pin.
