For the first time in 4 years, Stewart Plumbing and Heating was not named the Wacky Tryke Race champions.

This year members of City Hall took the title.

"We will pass the trophy around the office," assistant city manager and participant Ernestor De La Rosa said.

City Hall was made up De La Rosa, Tanner Rutschman, Brad Ralph and Thomas Finley.

The race is built of four-person corporate teams who face off riding adult-sized tricycle bikes.

Some of the teams involved were from the Dodge City Police Department, Coffer Sales, Servi-Tech, a few teams from Arrowhead West, Miss Rodeo contestants, Economic Development Corporation, Dodge City Parks and Recreation and Landmark and Centera Banks.

Running with the race was the Pepsi Dog Day Afternoon event where those who attended were served hot dogs, chips and a drink for $1.

The final four consisted of G and G Auto facing the National Weather Service and Stewart Plumbing facing City Hall.

G and G and City Hall met in the finals with City Hall taking the trophy.

"Ernestor and I have ran the last 4 years," Rutschman said. "Brad and Tom have run with us the last two."
