There were large crowds easing through Village Square Mall on Friday afternoon as the annual Arts Crafts and Things show got underway.

Some of the exhibitors have been coming to Dodge City for years.

"I remember when the show was downtown," said Ernie Webb, Jr., of WebbCraft Leather. "I’ve been coming here for years."

Webb who is from Overbrook, Kansas, makes wallets, belts and more, said he remembers when a 20-foot spot cost him $20.

"Now the same size space is $200," he said. "But, Dodge City Days has been good to me over the years and people really like the belts."

Another crafter who has been coming to Dodge City Days for years is Craig Hawkinson of Salina, who brings Joe’s Little Nut Company to the show.

"We have cinnamon roasted nuts," Hawkinson said. "We have pecans, almonds, cashews and peanuts.

"We really enjoy coming to Dodge City every year."

Booths had items from homemade jewelry to summer sausage, leather goods to martial arts.

The Arts, Crafts and Things show continues today and Sunday at Village Square Mall.
