1 Boot Hill Anniversary

Kicking off Boot Hill Museum's 70th anniversary today will have an opening reception held at Guymon Petro from 8 to 10 p.m. that will feature an open mic night for past and current members of the Boot Hill Variety Show.

There is a registration requirement for this event.

On Saturday there will be two tours available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. then from 3 to 4 p.m. there will be an ice cream social that are both free and open to the public.

The Boot Hill Variety Show will start at 6 p.m. with a special gunfight at 7 p.m. and a brisket dinner at 7:30 p.m.

The Saturday evening events require registration.

On Sunday there will be First Union Church service at 10:30 a.m. and the High Noon Gunfight at noon.

The church service and gunfight will be free and open to the public.

The registration required Sunday events are a picnic lunch at 12:30 p.m.

Then at Boot Hill Distillery there will be a Medicine Show and Pickly Ash Bitters tasting at 3 p.m.

You must be 21 years old or older to attend the tasting.

At the museum from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the gift shop will be a book signing by author Becky Burgoyne who wrote the book, Perfectly Amanda, the biography of Amanda Blake who played Miss Kitty on the TV show Gunsmoke.

At Guymon Petro there will be a social hour starting at 6 p.m. will cocktails and hors d'oeuvres that will lead into the 70th anniversary banquet that will feature former and current cast members.

The Sunday evening events require registration.

2 Live at the Longhorn

The Friday concerts continue at Boot Hill Casino and Resort in the Longhorn Room today.

The event is free to the public but you must be 21 years old or older to attend and will feature Thief starting at 8 p.m.

3 Farmers Market

The Farmer's Market will run on Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon and will be located along Front Street between 3rd Avenue and 2nd Avenue in downtown Dodge City every Saturday from June through October.

4 Biker Breakfast

The Dodge City VFW Post 1714 will be hosting a community biker breakfast on Sunday from 7:30 to 11 a.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults, children 10 and under are $3.
