For more than 30 years, the Prairie Bowman Archery Club has put on their fall archery shoot in Dodge City. This year is no different.

This Sunday, the club will host their archery shootout on the east side of Ford County Lake starting at 9 a.m.

"Just about every year we had the shootout during Dodge City Days but for the last few years we decided to hold the shoot in September because of the heat," organizer Brian Ward said. "The shoot is for all ages and we have compound bows, refurbs, just all sorts, and if anyone wants to use a crossbow they are more than welcome."

The shootout will also feature a raffle as well as a lunch and is for all ages.

"Businesses in the area have donated archery items, gift cards and other items to win," Ward said.

Tickets for the shootout are $25 with ages 12 and under shooting free but a $5 lunch fee is required.

There will be two rounds of 25 targets and novelty shootouts.

"We will start taking registrations at 8 a.m.," Ward said. "We will then start the shoot around 9-9:30.

"If people haven't registered before hand they can do so the day of."
