Coming into the third year, Fat Katz Tattoo will be holding their semi-colon and Thin Blue Line Days starting Tuesday.

The tattoo drive will also be for teen suicide prevention with the TALC Program with all proceeds from the tattoos going to Teens and Adults Learning to Communicate project and local law enforcement, EMT's and firefighters.

"Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome," Fat Kat'z co-owner Karen Rouse said. "The cost will be our minimum $60, unless changes are made with original designs.

"We will also give free aftercare products after the work is done."

The idea for the event came when many people came into the tattoo shop requesting the semi-colon tattoo.

The semi-colon tattoo represents the end and more to come while the Thin Blue Line tattoo represents a law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty.

"Years ago talking to Richard Falcon about teen suicide prevention, we wanted to do something to help," Rouse said. "So we decided to combine the two tattoo ideas to be able to donate to the teen suicide prevention group."

The art will be done by Fat Kat'z co-owner "Pops" and artist Ally, Rouse added.

"It grows every year," she said. "We get a lot of support from a lot of people in a lot of different situations."

Designs of the tattoos can be found at the Fat Kat'z Facebook page at facebook.com/Fat-Katz-Tattoo.

To make an appointment, call 620-338-8080 or visit in person.

Fat Kat’z Tattoo is located at 1509 W. Wyatt Earp Blvd. across from the Kwik Shop.

The semi-colon and thin blue line tattoo drive will be from Sept. 12 through Sept. 16.
