A 21-year-old man was killed in a single-car accident just east of Dodge City early Sunday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Robert Cintron-Vazquez died just east of Highway 56 on Highway 400 early Sunday morning.

The KHP reported Cintron-Vazquez was west bound in his 2008 Mazda 3 in the outside lane on Highway 400. The report said Cintron-Vazquez moved to the inside lane to pass a vehicle before moving back into the outside lane.

The accident report stated Cintron-Vazquez overcorrected getting back into the outside lane, left the road to the right, hit a culvert and rolled several times.

Cintron-Vazquez was transported to Western Plains Medical complex where he was pronounced dead. The 21-year-old was wearing his seat belt.

The Kansas Highway Patrol report did not report on any other reasons for the crash such as driver impairment or driver distraction.
