Thanksgiving is less than a week a way and the Ministerial Alliance needs your help.
On Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 23, the annual Community Thanksgiving Feast and Fellowship will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Guard Armory, 2120 1st Avenue, and volunteers are needed.
"We would need people to help seat the people who attend, help them get their food, refill drinks at the tables and cooks," Fort Dodge social worker Marilyn Roberts said. "This is an annual event that we put on with the funds from the Ministerial Alliance going towards the purchasing of the food and turkeys."
There is no set deadline for when anyone can sign up to volunteer.
"Volunteers will also be needed to stay afterwards and clean up and mop floors," Roberts said. "In years past people tend to leave right away so it would be great if people would be willing to stay and help us clean up.
"We are also needing donations of pies, cookies and cakes."
Roberts also said that delivering food will also be needed.
"We have several people that are home bound and can't make it to the armory dinner," she said. "So we would need to get people to be able to deliver food to those people that can't make it."
