With Thanksgiving Thursday, many businesses and offices will be closed to observe the holiday.

For the city, city hall, municipal court and the Convention and Visitors Bureau will be closed on Thursday.

For the public transportation routes, they will be closed both Thursday and Friday and will return to regular business hours on Monday.

Thursday trash collection will be collected on Wednesday before the holiday with Friday collection being collected on Monday.

Customers are asked to have their polycarts by the curb at 7 a.m. and ask to not have polycarts left at the curb when it is not scheduled to be.

Also closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday will be the CREW recycling center on Military Avenue.

The center will reopen from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday with the Civic Center drop-off location remaining open.

For Ford County, all offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday with the landfill hours being, open on Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Dodge City Public Library will close at 8 p.m. on Wednesday and will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The library will resume regular hours on Saturday.

The Dodge City Community College will be closed for Thanksgiving break and will resume normal hours on Monday.

All federal buildings such as the US Postal Service and Social Security office will be closed on Thursday along with all banks.

The Daily Globe will be closed on Thursday but will resume normal business hours on Friday.
