As 2017 comes to a close, the Boot Hill Casino and Resort Live at the Longhorn concert series will close their season on Saturday with Thief playing from 8 to 11 p.m.

On Sunday for New Year's Eve, Buckner Creek will close out 2017 from 9 p.m. to midnight

"It will be fun both nights," casino director of marketing Jessica Rabe said. "Both bands draw a good crowd and play music people know and love.

"There will be lots of dancing."

When Final Friday returns to Dodge City in 2018, the casino will be hosting the concert series as part of the monthly schedule.

"We are excited to offer great, local, live music as part of Final Fridays," Rabe said. "There is definitely no shortage of things to do in Dodge City.

"We’ll have the live music in conjunction with two other promotions.

"Free Spin Fridays; patrons get one free spin on a machine that pays out a jackpot of $1,000.

"They can play to earn more entries every Friday too.

"And, Home Sweet Home; drawing for $1,000 home improvement cash prize on Fridays at 10 p.m. and drawing for a free mortgage or rent for a year every Saturday at 10 p.m. in January and February."
