A budget amendment was made in a special meeting with the city commission on Thursday.
"The only item on the agenda was the public hearing and approval of the 2017 Budget Amendments," city finance director Nannette Pogue said. "This is an annual item we approve if it is necessary to amend individual fund budgets before the end of the year.
"The vote was unanimous to amend the 2017 budget."
The budgets amended were as follows: Organizational funding expenditures were amended to $842,745 from $799,735; Rural Housing Incentive District went from $250,000 to $350,000; Convention and Visitors went from $1,134,025 to $1,359,025; development and growth fund went from $1,050,000 to $1,250,000; transportation fund went from $400,265 to $460,265 and Special Drug and Alcohol fund went from $97,300 to $110,000.
The first city commission meeting of the new year will be Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at city hall at 7 p.m.
