The Dodge City Public Library will be hosting a presentation entitled "Don’t Be Fooled by Fake News" on Thursday, Jan. 18  at 7 p.m.

Presenters will include Vincent Marshall, Interim Managing Editor for the Dodge City Daily Globe; Michael Biltz, Public Services Librarian and Phil Handsaker, Community Relations Coordinator for the Dodge City Public Library.

This hour-long presentation includes information on what Fake News is, its history, how it is changing and practical things you can do to more easily separate truth from fiction on your own.

"With concerns about fake news seeming to reach a boiling point in our country, it seemed a very timely and useful presentation to share with the community," said Handsaker. "We were extremely fortunate that Vincent could participate to share his insights from the media’s viewpoint as well."

The event will be held in the Lois Flanagan room at the Dodge City Public Library.

There will be a Q&A section after the presentation as well.
