This week will be the first Final Friday of 2018 with some new additions to the packed lineup of events.
The kick off starts at Dodge City Public Library from 4 to 6 p.m. with a photo exhibit from Ford County 4-H
There will be dozens of photographs from last year," library director Brandon Hines said. "We will also serve drinks and refreshments.
"Sam Shipley, a reference librarian, put it together."
Also from 4 to 6 p.m. will be activities held at Dodge City Brewing.
The brewery will feature art photography from Mike Umscheid that will include pieces of Great American Eclipse, Great Plains severe storms and avian wildlife.
According to co-owner Larry Cook, there will also be complimentary breadsticks.
Then at Carnegie Center for the Arts from 5 to 7 p.m. there will be
featured art from Russian artist Valery Ivanovich Shilyaeva, with Petr Grigorev, his agent, present at the reception.
According to Shilyaeu, he reflects the history of the fleet and the far east. These are the main themes at the heart of his work.
He will showcase his detailed paintings of seascapes, ships and portraits.
Chili will be provided by Arrowhead West along with wine and beer served with other refreshments.
A public meeting and membership drive will also be held at Carnegie at 6 p.m. and is free to the public.
At Eryn's Downtown Center from 5 to 7 p.m., Flowers by Irene will have a Valentine's Day-themed event with pink drinks and pink dessert.
"We are getting everyone in the mood for Valentine's Day," Flowers by Irene owner Lisa Jackson said.
Also from 5 to 7 p.m., Red Beard Coffee joins the schedule and will be featuring a sneak peek of their summer drink, according to owner Clinton Conant.
From 6 to 8 p.m., 2nd Ave. Art Guild will feature work from the Fort Hays State University Department of Art and Design.
"It will be all media, drawing, printmaking, painting and sculpture," Jennifer Nolan with the 2nd Ave. Art Guild said.
According to Nolan, the artists are Hannah Lindo, Tristan Lindo, Noah Wellbrock-Talley, Harley Torres, Krista Smith, Chantel Bollinger, Juanita Estrada, Joel Dugan, Cadie Long and Aaron Phillips.
West Coast Plaza returns to Final Friday this month and will feature vendors and wine in their plaza center.
West Coast Plaza activities will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
From 7 to 9 p.m., the Depot Theater will have the Dodge City High School Jazz Band performing along with refreshments and a cash bar.
From 8 to 10 p.m., the Boot Hill Distillery will feature the music of folk rocker Rad the Ghost along with handcrafted cocktails.
The distillery will also be featuring its award-winning soil-to-sip spirits.
From 9 to 11 p.m., Guymon Petro Bar and Grill will be doing $10 burger specials on all burgers as well as half price appetizers.
Guymon Petro will also feature the music of Mike Benesh.
The Dodge City Trolley will be running until 11 p.m. and will be available to take Final Friday participants to and from each location.
