The Dodge City Police Department is still investigating the shooting of two 19-year-old males that took place on Jan. 27.

According to DCPD Police Chief Drew Francis, on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. officers with the DCPD were dispatched to Western Plains Medical Complex for two male victims having non life threatening gunshot wounds.

"During the investigation officers were able to determine the shooting happened in the 900 block of north 2nd Avenue between 10:30 and 10:35 a.m.," Francis said. "The incident involved occupants of one vehicle shooting from their vehicle into another."

According to Francis, the investigation is still on-going as of Monday afternoon with no updates available.

"No updates yet," Francis said, "still have a lot of leg work left on this."

The second vehicle involved in the shooting is being processed by DCPD at this time.

Francis added that anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Dodge City Police Department at 620-225-8126, Ford County Communications at 620-227-4646, or submit an anonymous tip through the tip411 service.
