A legislative community coffee talk will be in town on Saturday at the High Plains Journal as Brad Ralph, Boyd Orr and Leonard Mastroni will be available to talk about the latest legislative session.
The discussion will be about what the legislature is doing for communities in western Kansas as well as a Q&A session to run afterwards.
Ralph is the representative of District 119 from Dodge City with Orr the representative of District 115 from Fowler and Mastroni the representative of District 117 from LaCrosse.
All three representatives joined the Kansas House of Representatives in 2017.
Ralph is the vice-chair of the judiciary committee who also serves on the appropriations committee, joint committee on special claims against the state, 2017 special committee on commerce and the commerce, labor and economic development committee.
Orr serves on the agriculture committee, insurance committee, elections committee and local government committee.
Mastroni serves on the judiciary committee, children and seniors committee and transportation committee.
The coffee talk will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the High Plains Journal Communications Center, 1500 E. Wyatt Earp Blvd. and is free to the public to attend.
According to Ralph, some of the topics of discussion will be the transition with a new governor, transparency initiatives, education resolution and the budget/revenue projections.
