The Ford County Sheriff's Office, Ford County Fire and EMS and Kansas Highway Patrol had a busy morning on Thursday.

Starting at around 7:30 a.m. units were dispatched to three different reports of single-vehicle rollovers in the county.

According to Ford County Sheriff Bill Carr, a single-vehicle rollover took place on Lariat Way near East Main Road.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Western Plains Medical Complex for their injury.

Another single-vehicle rollover occurred on Highway 283 and Wildfire Road but both occupants of the vehicle did not receive injuries from the accident.

At around 8:10 a.m., the KHP reported a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer was east bound on Highway 56 near milepost 112, when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the icy roads.

The Trailblazer then entered the north ditch and rolled.

The driver, Douglas Rayo-Cornejo, 43 from Liberal was transported to WPMC for injuries he sustained in the rollover.

Rayo-Cornejo was wearing his seat belt, it is unknown if the others involved in the rollovers were wearing safety restraints.
