1 Shrine Circus

The Shrine Circus is back in town for today and Sunday at the Dodge City Civic Center.

The times for the circus are at 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. both days.

Tickets are available at the door and are $10 for adults, $5 for kids.

2 Get Informed

The Adult Learning Center will host an informational meeting on education from 4 to 6 p.m. today.

Guest speakers will be John Robb, Schools for Fair Funding attorney, Gail Jamison with Speak Up for Kids and Judith Deedy from Game On for Kansas Schools.

The meeting will be focused on Article 6 of the Constitution as well as the history of litigation in Kansas.


Today the Dodge City Community College will be hosting an informational meeting about DACA from 10 a.m. to noon in the student union board room.

Guest speakers will be DCCC Associate Professor of Sociology Rodney Clayton, DCCC professor Jorge Estrella, assistant city manager Ernestor De La Rosa and immigration attorney Michael Feltman.

4 Seuss-straganza

It may be early but the Dodge City Public Library will be celebrating all things Dr. Seuss in the lead up to his birthday on March 2 which coincides with National Read Across America Day.

According to Rozanna Bennett with DCPL, next week several schools will be celebrating literacy so the library is starting things off a little early with its own celebration.

"There will be life-size games,(where the people are the game pieces) a photo booth, reading together corner and crafts," Bennett said. "It will be a really fun family event."

Seuss-straganza will be from 2 to 3 p.m. today at DCPL.
