Food, beer, boots and auctions will fill the Hoover Pavilion in Wright Park on May 4 for the Boot Hill Museum.

The 8th annual auction will be raising money for the upcoming expansion plans for the museum.

"This year, there will be more foods for people to try from the local restaurants paired with craft beers," Boot Hill Museum marketing director Laura Tawater said. "Dodge City Brewing will be pouring samples of their beer and Boot Hill Museum will feature several special cocktails along with wine."

Tickets are $60 per person or $450 for a table of eight and can be purchased over the phone online but you better act fast. "Ticket sales are soaring and we are close to selling out but we will make room for extra if we need to," said Tawater. "The auction items will be unique and will include rare prints and paintings, lots of special trips and merchandise, signed memorabilia, and lots of different things that men and women would enjoy.

"We will open with a presentation on the Boot Hill expansion since the birth of the museum, to our new exhibits building, we are breaking ground on this fall.

"There will also be some special announcements that people won't want to miss."

The Boots and Beer auction doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on May 4, with the dinner starting at 7 p.m.
