1 Regional Wrestling

On Saturday and Sunday, the 7th annual Southern Plains Regional Championship Wrestling Tournament will be held in Dodge City at the United Wireless Arena.

There will be a total of 18 different states represented in the tournament between competitors and officials combined.

On Saturday the competition begins at 9 a.m. with doors opening at 6:30 a.m. and should run to 9:30 p.m.

On Sunday the competition starts with doors opening at 7:30 a.m. and running up to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults, children 6-12 being $2 and children under 6 years old get in free.

2 Main Street Festival

Main Street Festival will be today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Dodge City.

The Main Street Festival began as a way to showcase the downtown Dodge City area and to familiarize the community with the local businesses in the downtown area.

The event is free to attend and is geared for everyone of all ages.

Arts and crafts activities for the kids, local live entertainment and the Q97 great quack attack will all be featured during the event.

3 Farmers Market

The Farmer's Market will run on Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon and will be located along Front Street between 3rd Avenue and 2nd Avenue in downtown Dodge City every Saturday from June through October.

4 HOF ceremony

The 2018 class will be inducted into the Kansas Teacher's Hall of Fame at the Dodge City High School Auditorium today.

The ceremony will begin with a plaque presentation at 2 p.m. with teaching memorabilia and a chance to visit with inductees starting at 3 p.m. in the DCHS Commons area.

At 4 p.m. the Kansas Teacher's Hall of Fame will be open, located at 603 5th Avenue.

This years inductees are Alan Cunningham of Dodge City, Jim Aremendariz of Manhattan, Maureen Davis of Overland Park, Jackie Elliott of Goodland, Marcia Leon of Quinter, Melanie A. Ralston of Topeka and George Troutfetter of Salina.

5 Annual Alzheimer/Dementia Awareness Day

The annual Joe Bogner Alzheimer/Dementia Awareness Day will be from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Station Bar and Grill.

Ben Gallaher and special guests Guns On Mars will be playing.

Tickets are $10.

6 Biker Breakfast

The Dodge City VFW Post 1714 will be hosting a community biker breakfast on Sunday from 7:30 to 11 a.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults, children 10 and under are $3.
