In other business, the Ford County Commission:
    • Authorized the county to accept sealed bids for county-owned property on Roosevelt Avenue.
The bids are due to the county clerk's office by 10 a.m. March 11.
    • Decided to wait until June, when the county starts working on its budget for the next fiscal year, to decide whether to contribute $2,000 to the CrimeStoppers program.
    • Appointed Giles Issinghoff to serve as a trustee on the Grandview Township Board.
The commission's next meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in a joint session with the Dodge City Commission at City Hall. The commissions will discuss a building plan and site for the special events center, an architect contract for the project and issuing bonds to cover the cost.
