A Dodge City truck driver was discharged from Northwest Texas Hospital earlier this week, several days after he was injured in a wreck near Etter, Texas.
Andy Burdett, 49, was injured when two semitrucks collided on Highway 287 near the Etter city limit sign.
Officials said one semitruck was parked on the road because it was closed off for another accident, the Amarillo-based television station KFDA reported. A second semi apparently was too late in hitting the brakes and slammed into the first.
The driver of the first truck was not badly hurt, but Burdett was taken by Lifestar to the hospital in Amarillo, the TV station reported.
