Bucklin Tractor & Implement Co., headquartered in Bucklin, has been chosen as the 2010 “Best in Class Farm Equipment Dealership” by Farm Equipment magazine.
Farm Equipment presents its “Dealership of the Year” awards annually to farm equipment dealerships in two categories: One for those with $50 million and under in annual revenues and one for dealers generating more than $50 million in annual revenues.
BTI earned the distinction this year in the over $50 million category not only for its excellent financial and operational results, but its attention to customer care, employee development and its progressive management and entrepreneurial spirit, according to a news release from Farm Equipment.
More than 100 dealerships across North America were nominated for the award. BTI was chosen for the award by a panel of renowned farm equipment experts.
In their selection of BTI, they specifically noted the dealership's strong revenue growth over the past three years, as well as the highest return on assets of any dealership group in its category.
BTI also reported the highest market share (78.9 percent) of all nominees this year, according to the magazine. It continues to demonstrate a high level of commitment to employee training and development, with each employee required to complete a minimum of 15 to 20 hours of training annually.
The dealership group achieved an 86 percent rating in John Deere's Customer Satisfaction Index.
In addition to its Bucklin store, BTI also has locations in Greensburg, Pratt and Ness City. Today, the dealership employs 131 people.
