A 72-year-old Jetmore woman was killed Wednesday evening after a head-on collision along U.S. Highway 283 in Hodgeman County.
Cecilia Morris was northbound on U.S. 283 when she collided with a 1989 Ford pickup driven by Cimmaron resident Darron Harms, who was southbound on the highway. Harms' truck came to rest facing west in the northbound lane.
Morris' 2001 GMC pickup came to rest in the east ditch facing south-southwest.
Harms was airlifted to Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, where he was listed in critical condition Thursday morning. His passenger, 8-year-old Breanna Harms, was taken to Hodgeman County Health Center in Jetmore to be treated for injuries. Morris was taken to Hodgeman County Health center where she died.
Morris' passenger, 71-year-old Shirley Coffman of Jetmore was also taken to Hodgeman County for injuries.
Breanna Harms was treated and released. Coffman was listed as being in fair condition Thursday morning.
All four were wearing their seat belts.
