DODGE CITY —

Kansas Farmers Service Association, one of the largest insurance agencies in the state, has purchased the Dodge City-based Brooke Insurance Agency.
These changes, which took effect Friday, will include increased service and a name change, said Jeff Hiers, general manager of the former Brooke Insurance Agency in Dodge City.
"The changes will be the sign on the door and how we answer the phone," Hiers said. "Basically, this will just be a name change."
If anything, Hiers said the acquisition will enhance the services available to customers. He said the increased resources of KFSA will allow the Dodge City location to offer more services with the same level of customer service they have provided in the past.
KFSA, based in Hutchinson, was established in 1947. Its services include agribusiness, personal and commercial insurance, risk management, human resource management and business development.
The agribusiness branch of the company serves grain elevator companies, chemical and fertilizer dealers, oil, petroleum and propane companies, and feedyards throughout the Midwest.
