Liberty Garden
Located in historic Wright Park, Dodge City's Liberty Garden was designed as a place of remembrance and solitude. Dodge City is honored to be the first community in Kansas to receive a portion of the World Trade Center. The 4-foot section of steel is placed under the U.S. flag and between two 110-inch replicas of the twin towers. The 1,200-pound piece of steel was recovered from Ground Zero in New York City.  Liberty Garden also features a portion of the Pentagon building at the crash site of 9-11.  Soon to be put in place are stones from the field in Pennsylvania where Flight 93 crashed.  Dedicated on Sept.  11, 2002, the Liberty Garden is open to everyone as a place of reflection and honor.

Dodge City Zoo
Located in Wright Park, the Dodge City Zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except during inclement weather. This cozy little zoo and bird aviary is a fun way to while away some time in one of Dodge City's well-maintained parks.
