The inquisition of  bail bondsman Rebecca Escalante was postponed Friday when the court granted her request for a reasonable time frame within which to find an attorney.
Escalante  was subpoenaed by Ford County Attorney Terry Malone, who said he is seeking information  about her knowledge of a potential threats to Samuel Bonilla's safety. Bonilla is charged with shooting Steven Holt and Tanner Brunson in the Arkansas River bed over Labor Day weekend.
Holt later died of his injuries, but Brunson survived.
Bonilla told the Daily Globe last month that he acted in self-defense and was trying to protect two children who were with him. A story based on a jailhouse interview with Bonilla appeared in the newspaper's Oct. 13 edition.
