The contractor plans to fully switch traffic to the outside lanes on 14th Avenue on Monday due to widening 14th from Frontview Road to Country Acres Drive. Once traffic has been switched, the contractor will remove the existing pavement on the center two lanes and begin prep work to place concrete the week of Oct. 13, if not sooner. Traffic flow along 14th will continue to be limited to one lane north and one lane southbound from U.S. Highway 50 to Hennessey Street.
During the time that concrete is being placed, 14th will be limited to one-lane traffic along the concrete placement area. Flagmen will be in place to direct traffic. Expect delays of up to 10 to 20 minutes on 14th from Frontview Road to Hennessey Street. If at all possible, use alternate routes during the concrete placement.
Mead Lumber and Robinson Furniture can be accessed from Frontview. Please be aware of the 20-mph construction zone and obey all signs and barricades. With your cooperation, the contractor should move through the project quickly.
