    In recognition of youth art month in Kansas, the Globe continues its visit to the four visual arts departments at Dodge City High School.
    Recently honored as student of the month by the art department, photographer Kevin Phommachanh was born and raised in Dodge City.
    "My mom and grandpa own Ban Lao restaurant, and my dad's an engineer at Cargill," Phommachanh said Tuesday in an interview with the Globe.
    Phommachanh is a senior who has been enrolled in art photography since his sophomore year.
