A professional ethics hearing for former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline has been postponed until February.
A panel for the state Board for Discipline of Attorneys rescheduled the hearing this week after Kline hired new attorneys. His four-day hearing, which was scheduled to start Nov. 15 has been rescheduled for Feb. 21.
Kline faces a complaint that he made false statements and allowed subordinates to mislead other state officials while investigating abortion clinics. Kline has said he's committed no misconduct.
A Republican, Kline served as attorney general from 2003 to 2007, then as Johnson County District attorney in 2007 and 2008. Afterward, he became a visiting professor of law at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.
