DODGE CITY —

Four lucky winners were announced live Tuesday on Q97 as part of the Presbyterian Manor of the Plains "4 Fabulous Prizes" event.
Patty McGee, the director of marketing and development for the Manor of the Plains, had the privilege of announcing the winners on the air.
April Baugh won two tickets for a Carribean Cruise of the Ochos Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel Islands; Joan Mages won a trip for two to Las Vegas, Jeff Ladner won a flat-screen television and Cory Warkentin received a $500 shopping spree.
"It's a pretty awesome event," McGee said. "It's a lot of fun, and it helps a lot of people."
Several members of the Manor of the Plains' staff also won prizes for collecting the most donations for the drawing. Jacque Soltero won the first prize, which is a weekend getaway in Wichita. Dorothy Raub received a steak dinner, and Becki Jo Vieux won free movie tickets for her participation.
All proceeds for this event go to support the Manor of the Plains Charitable Care Fund in Dodge City, which is used to help individuals who have outlived their financial resources.
This year, the event raised $17,055, McGee said. Since the event began in 2004, it has raised more than $52,000. Last year, $19,164 were raised for this fund.
"It's tremendous," McGee said. "Everyone in the community and surrounding areas are so supportive of this event."
McGee added: "We'd like to send out a big thank you for the people in the community for their donations, as well as our sponsors."
