Two southwest Kansas residents were injured in separate wrecks Tuesday in Ford County.
In the first accident, Dodge City resident David G. Cecil was northbound on U.S. Highway 283 behind a snowplow, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Cecil was driving too fast for conditions, and his 2002 Chevy pickup truck struck the back of the snowplow.
Both vehicles came to rest on the highway facing north.
Cecil, 54, was taken to Western Plains Medical Complex with disabling injuries, according to the KHP. Neither the snowplow driver, 50-year-old Carl D. Thomas of Dodge City, nor his passenger, 54-year-old Spearville resident George D. Shulte, were hurt.
