A Cimarron man suspected of a mid-October rape was arrested this week and charged with the crime
Gilbert Cavazos, 22, was also charged Thursday with kidnapping and aggravated intimidation of a witness or victim, according to Ford County District Court records. Defense attorney Steve Cott was appointed to represent him, and a docket preliminary hearing was tentatively set for 1 p.m. Nov. 19.
Cavazos is currently being held in the Ford County Detention Center on $100,000 bond. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
