DODGE CITY —

Let's see a show of hands.
How many have taken the trolley tour operated by the Dodge City Convention and Visitors Bureau?
While most locals think of the trolley tour as something just for tourists, those who ride along with visiting family often learn a lot about their hometown — not only facts they didn't know, but places they didn't realize existed.
The tour is narrated by a CD track, which points out interesting sights and delivers historic information. From the Santa Fe Trail through Fort Dodge and the establishment of Dodge City in 1872, the narration covers the cemetery on Boot Hill, where the last person to be buried was a woman known as Squirrel Tooth Alice. By the end of the tour, the cattle and grain industries have had their turn.
