The USD 443 school board recently voted to commit itself to paying its share of the cost of suing the state of Kansas — as long as the total number of students enrolled in the school districts who join the litigation is at least 100,000. Right now, the 57 districts who make up Schools for Fair Funding enroll 147,358 students, but they haven't all been authorized by their boards to join the lawsuit, according to SFF president Fred Kaufman.
