Alvin B. Koehn, 93, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at The Shepherd's Center in Cimarron.
He was born Oct. 3, 1916, to Bernhard and Lena (Wedel) Koehn in Montezuma. He was a farmer.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Anna Lee Aeschliman on Aug. 18, 1941, in Montezuma. She preceded him in death on Jan. 11, 1995.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Lee Koehn and wife, Karlene, of Cimarron; one grandson; one great-grandson; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at The Gospel Fellowship Church in Montezuma, with Pastors Errol D. Koehn and Virginia F. Koehn presiding. Military graveside services will be conducted by Copeland American Legion Post No. 369 at Morningside Cemetery in Montezuma. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Montezuma Funeral Home.
