Donald D. Martin

     Donald D. Martin, 79, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a brief illness.
    He was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Pratt. 
    He married Marilyn Reiniets on Aug. 20, 1950, in Pratt. They moved to Dodge City in 1960 and purchased Hulpieu-Miller Furniture. In 1980, he and his daughter established K. Martin Jeweler.
    He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; a daughter Kelly of Dodge City; and a son, Richard and wife, Susan, of Reston, Va. 
    Cremation has taken place, and services will be at a later date.
    The family suggests memorials to Friendship Feast in care of the First Presbyterian Church, Dodge City.
    Meessinger Indian School Mortuary is taking care of the cremation.
