    Jean F. Demuth, 68, died Monday, January 31, 2011, at her home in Dodge City.
    She was born October 23, 1942, at Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Francis Joseph and Jean Perrin Schwartz Donohue.
    A Dodge City resident since 1954, she attended schools in Dodge City and graduated from St. Mary of the Plains High School, St. Mary of the Plains College and completed her Master’s from Ft. Hays State University. Jean was administrator at St. Mary of the Plains College until its closing in 1992. She was active in rental property management with her husband for 45 years.
    She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Women’s Chamber, Optimist Club and volunteer and board member of the Manna House, all in Dodge City.
    On August 22, 1960, she married Raymond Demuth at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dodge City.
    Survivors include: her husband, Dodge City; 2 sons, Larry and wife, Karla, and Joe and wife, Liz, all of Dodge City; 3 daughters, Judy Demuth, Dodge City, Linda Lorett and husband, Tom, Salina, Kansas, and Carol Konecny, Castle Rock, Colorado; a brother, Paul Donohue, Hastings On Hudson, New York; 6 sisters, Katherine Sibson, Clifton Park, New York, Nancy Scollard, New Rochelle, New York, Mary Tweedy and husband, Hal, Sherman, Connecticut, Rosemary Michalec and husband, Steve, Mount Kisco, New York, Barbara Fulkerson and husband, Mike, Michigan City, Indiana, and Susan Hay and husband, Tim, Fishers, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Francis “Frankie” Donohue.
    Vigil Service will be
7:30 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011, at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, with Fr. Ted A. Skalsky presiding.                  There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel.  Inturnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
    The family suggests memorials to the Manna House in care of Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801. Condolences may be sent to www.burkhart-ziegler.com.
