Annette L. Harshberger, 74, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Minneola Longterm Care Unit, Minneola.
She was born Nov. 6, 1933 to Pearle Stanley Martin Turner and Ida B. Seward at Kinsley. She married Roy Harshberger, Jr. on Sept. 26, 1952 at Tucumcari, NM. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2006.
She graduated from Dodge City High School.
She was a lifetime area resident and a farmwife but had worked as a linetype operator for the HiPlains Journal, as an assistant to the Ford County Extension Agent, and as a bookeeper/receptionist/secretary at the Minneola District Hospital, Natural Gas Pipeline Co. and Ford County Appraisal Office.
Survivors include one son, Victor Harshberger and wife, Sharon, Monument, Colo.; one brother, Cyril M. Turner, Prescott, Ariz.; three sisters, Ruth Oge, Fowler, Calif., Jan Osburne and husband, Paul, Williams, Ariz., and Lana Mitchell, Eulis, Texas; two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Lynn Harshberger and sister, Lila Hunsacker.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Minneola Long Term Care Unit, Minneola with Rev. Kip Ryherd presiding. A private burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
