Virginia N. Coen, 80, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Joy of Caring Center, Denver, Colo.
She was born July 29, 1927 to Shelley A. and Helen G. Shearer Nease at Bucklin. She married William P. Coen in April 1947.
She was a resident of Denver since 1975 formerly of Goodland. She had owned and operated Muhlhem Jewelry in Goodland. She also worked at KLOE TV in Goodland. She had served as a Probate/County and Juvenile Court Judge for Sherman County. She worked at the Childrens Hospital in Denver until her retirement.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Federated Music Club in Goodland.
Survivors include on son, W. Neal Coen, Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Anne Chamness, Denver, Colo.; one brother, James Nease, Kinsley; three sisters, Blanche Larson and Gladys Cripe, both of Garden City; and Barbara Cook, Denver.
The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Minnis Mortuary Chapel, Bucklin with Rev. Michael Chamness presiding. Burial will be in the Bucklin Cemetery, Bucklin.
