Billy Charles McCoy, 58, died Monday, May 19, 2008, in the Parunia Community northeast of Buffalo, Okla.
He was born Aug. 5, 1949, to J. W. and Louise (Stalts) McCoy at Humboldt, Tenn. He married Judi McCoy. She preceded him in death. He later married Valerie German on Sept. 16, 2002, in Reno, Nev. She survives.
He attended schools in St. Augustine. Fla.
He was retired from the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Buffalo.
Survivors include two sons, Michael McCoy and wife, Bernice, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Bud Pruitt, Apple Valley, Minn.; three daughters, Tami Marouis and husband, Rick, Camas, Wash., Staci Quartararo and husband, Mario, Monument, Colo., and Lynnette Pruitt, Laverne, Okla.; three brothers, Carlos McCoy and wife, Donna, Humboldt, Tenn., Joe McCoy and wife, Evelyn, Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Roy McCoy and wife, Judy, Jackson, Tenn.; two sisters, Doris Laughlin and husband, Joe, Meden, Tenn., and Kaye Carlile and husband, Bill, Trenton, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, Buffalo, Okla., with the Rev. Jerry Hodges presiding. Burial will be in the Presidio Military Cemetery, San Francisco.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Myatt Funeral Home, Buffalo.
