Elma I. “Reny” Geddes, 78, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade.
    She was born May 11, 1931, at Bates City, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer and Iris (Roles) Adams.  On Jan. 19, 1949, she married O.M. Geddes at Lexington, Missouri. 
    She was a homemaker, volunteered with the Meade County EMS, and had worked as a cook at the Meade District Hospital.
    Survivors include her husband, O.M. Geddes, Meade; two sons, Orville Geddes, Jr. and wife, Kim of Meade and Roy Wade Geddes, Meade; three sisters,  Betty Davis of Odessa, Mo., JoAnn Shepherd of Odessa, Joy Tye of Odessa; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Jones Funeral Home, Odessa.  Interment will follow in the Odessa Cemetery, Odessa.  Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, is in charge of local arrangements.  Jones Funeral Home, Odessa, Missouri, will be conducting services in Missouri. The family would welcome memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.  Personal condolences may be given to the family at www.fidlerormebachmanmortuary.com
