LIBERAL —

Donald Duane Moore, 68, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at his residence in Liberal.
    He was born March 30, 1940 to Norval Duane Moore and Marguerite (Thompson) Hughes at Ashland.  He married Sandra Young on Nov. 2, 1970 at Ashland.  She survives.
    He was a farm hand and longtime resident of Kiowa County recently moving to Liberal.  He attended Protection Grade School and Protection High School.  He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1964.
    Survivors include his three sons, Johnny Moore, Waynoka, Okla., Chad Moore, Mullinville, and Corey Moore, Bartlesville, Okla.; four daughters, Katie Youtesy, Perryton, Texas, Misti Anderson, LIberal, Delta Moore, Preston, and Karla Moore, Liberal; two sisters, Frances Young, Mullinville, and Patricia McCleary, Coldwater; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church, Protection with Rev. Tim Brittain presiding.  Burial will be in the Protection Cemetery, Protection with full military honors.
    Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Hatfield Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater.
