Dodge City —

    Marie K. Staley, 96, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Dodge City.
    She was born May 25, 1911 at Manchester, Okla., the daughter of Emil Gustav and Eva Malissa Bull Hartman. 
    She was a 1929 graduate from St. Mary’s High School in Wichita.  She owned and operated a grocery store as well as Ed’s Minisa Café, currently the Riverside Café, and worked for Dr. Francis Hagan all in Wichita.  She moved from Wichita to Dodge City in 1995.  She enjoyed square dancing and fishing and was an excellent seamstress.
    She was a member of St. Andrew Church, Wright.
    Survivors include: her daughter, Phyllis Vogel, Dodge City; her sister, Sister Irene Hartman, OP, Larned; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
    She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Stratton, Tomy Pinaire and E.W. Staley, a grandson, Ned Vogel, 8 brothers, Lawrence, Charlie, Eugene, Francis, Paul, Emil, Jr., Clyde and Gerald Hartman, 5 sisters, Cecilia Hartman, Myrtle Dombrowsky, Rosa Hartman, Sister Alicia Hartman, SJ and Sister Beatrice Hartman, OP, and a son-in-law, Stanley Vogel.
    Vigil Service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Church, Wright.  Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Fr. Robert A. Schremmer presiding. 
    Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.  Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery.
