Timothy E. Smith, 80, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at his home in Minneola.
He was born Jan. 18, 1929, to Timothy A. and Nellie J. (Wheat) Smith at Wewoka, Okla. He married Hattie Garrett on April 21, 1952, at Huntsville, Ark. She survives.
A longtime resident of Minneola, he was the retired owner and operator of Tim's Diner. He was also a farmer and rancher.
Other survivors include a son, Timothy A. Smith, MIdland, Texas; two daughters, Sherry Bryant, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Janet Smith, Minneola; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Minneola, with the Rev. Kip Ryherd presiding. Burial will be in Appletown Township Cemetery near Minneola.
Friends may call from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Minnis Mortuary, Minneola.
