ANCHORAGE, Alaska —

Shon Daniels "Huey" Burlison, aka Daniel Shon Blackburn, 38, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in Anchorage, Alaska.
    Daniel was born July 27, 1969, in Ojai, Calif., but resided in Kansas most of his life. He attended Independence Community College in Independence, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business.
    He enjoyed playing college football as well as playing semi-pro football for the Topeka Knights. He also enjoyed performing stand-up comedy routines. For the last year and a half, he resided in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, where he worked in the fishery and as a mechanic. He recently moved to Anchorage to study becoming a diesel mechanic.
    He is survived by his parents, Mike & Janie (Wagoner) Blackburn, Borger, Texas; his father, Don Burlison, Palco; four sisters, Shana Demmy, Tammy Ralston, Rebecca Blackburn and Tabitha Blackburn; a daughter, Casidy Morgan; two brothers, Ben Burlison and Aaron Burlison; two grandfathers, James Wagoner and Donzil Burlison; and a special friend, Linda Koehn.
    Daniel was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Betty Kathleen (Hillegeist) Wagoner and Reba (Cash) Hancock, and two uncles, Steven Wagoner and Ricky Burlison.
    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Fellowship Church in Borger, Texas. A graveside service will take place May 25 at Palco Cemetery, Palco.
