  HANSTON — Isaac David Korf, 17, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
    He was born Feb. 24, 1992, in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He was adopted by Darren Korf and Shannon Gleason on Sept. 30, 1997, and became a U.S. citizen on Aug. 19, 1998. He was a student and a farmer.
    Survivors include two sisters, Sarah Marie and husband, Kirk Dickson, Pratt, and Katherine "Katie" Claassen and husband, Alan, Whitewater; a brother, Noel MIchael Korf, Preston; his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Carolyn Gleason, Kinsley; a niece, Helen Dickson; and a nephew, Samuel Dickson.
    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Aileen Korf.
    The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Hanston, with the Rev. Carl Vincent presiding. Burial will be in the Mennonite Church Cemetery, Hanston.
    Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Tuesday at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore. The casket will be closed.
    Memorials may be sent to the Isaac Korf Memorial Fund in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, 121 Bramley, Jetmore, KS 67854.
