     Clara Wiens, 83, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Bethel Home Inc. in Montezuma.
    She was born Jan. 29, 1926, to Jacob and Carrie (Koehn) Wiens at Montezuma.
    A lifetime resident of Montezuma, she held many jobs in the nursing field. She taught nursing for 11 years and worked for Bethel Home for four years. She also worked at Mercy Hospital for two years, a doctor's office for three, in medical records for five and at the Dodge City hospital for 18 years.
    Survivors include two brothers, Edward Wiens, Pampa, Texas, and Alvin Wiens and wife, Ruth, Manhattan; four sisters, Susanna Unruh, Irene Koehn, Alma Wiens and Velma Wiens, all of Montezuma; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Wiens, Moundridge.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Henry Wiens and three infant brothers.
    The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Montezuma Mennonite Church, Montezuma, with Ministers Charles Schmidt, Kalvin Salsbury and Wilber Koehn presiding. Burial will be in the North Mennonite Church Cemetery, Montezuma.
    Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Tuesday at the Montezuma Funeral Home, Montezuma.
    Memorials have been established for either Bethel Home Inc., Montezuma, or Hospice of the Prairie. Memorials may be mailed to the Montezuma Funeral Home, Box 421, Montezuma, KS 67867.
