James "Turtle" Edwards Goodwin, 61, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at his home in Laverne, Okla.
    He was born Dec. 17, 1947 to William W. and Bertha "Violet" Bentley Goodwin. 
    He was a laboror.
    Survivors include his brothers, Allen Goodwin, Fort Supply, Okla, Neal Goodwin and wife Donda, Laverne, Okla.; sisters, Betty Feese, Woodward and Barbara Northrup and husband, Ronnie, Mooreland, Okla.
    The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Laverne Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Wes Peterman presiding.  Burial will be in the Laverne Memorial Cemetery, Laverne.
    Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne.
    Memorials are suggested to the James Goodwin Memorial Fund in care of the Myatt Funeral Home, Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848.
